Ford’s largest SUV is experiencing a thrilling transformation. In May of 2023, Ford introduced its prototype for the all-new 2025 Ford Expedition. Ford quite literally camouflaged some changes to conceal the major details, but now, some of those rumored updates have been confirmed.
The exterior is expected to see traditional mid-cycle facelifts, including updates to the front and rear fascia, but everyone has their eyes on the interior enhancements. 2025 Ford Expedition Interior Enhancements
In 2025, Ford is taking the Expedition’s interior to another level with a complete redesign of the cockpit, which is expected to be a highlight of the new model. Quick looks into the interior show a redesigned dashboard, featuring a curved design and new vents. The infotainment has also been redesigned, including a full-width screen inspired by the cutting-edge technology displayed in the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus.
The interior design will also showcase a rotary shift knob on a ledge under the all-new center stack screen with a volume knob close by. Also, drivers will enjoy an all-new steering wheel design.
2025 Ford Expedition Exterior Redesign
The 2025 Ford Expedition exterior appearance has been vitalized, and even though the prototype is still wrapped in camo, there are still some key changes we noticed. The new model displays some noticeable differences on the grille, taillights, and headlights. It’s also rumored that the new 2025 Expedition will feature Range Rover-inspired rear-end styling aesthetics.
2025 Ford Expedition Powertrain
The Expedition powertrain options are expected to remain the same, with the 380 horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 coming as standard. There’s the possibility of the standard powertrain receiving a boost to 400 horsepower on the Limited trim. It’s also rumored that a power upgrade or a hybrid variant may be in the works, mirroring the 430-horsepower system Ford introduced with the 2024 F-150.
